gapping ignition coil

I was just wondering if anyone knew the gap numbers for a fuelie 30.5cc engine, I know you can just use a match book, or a business card but they're not all the same thickness. Hahaha please help, I want to use the feeler gauges I use on my dirtbike to check the valve clearance. Thank you, Marty, M. Leavitt

The thickness of a business card. Or DDM sells the correct feeler guage and its formed to fit around the fly wheel .

The coil pickup air gap spec is .2-.3mm (.008" - .012"). A typical business card is about .014" and a standard piece of printer paper measures .004". cut 3 strips of printer paper as a layered shim and you are GTG. I tend to favor the higher end of the tolerance just in case you have a slight amount of flywheel runout.

DDM also sells a Bartolone L shape metal piece that goes between the ignition and cylinder head. Makes it much easier to shift and move around. And don't need to worry about those silly plastic spacers.
