mine was good out of the box rolled fine, and plate wasnt angled/cocked like that. since then tho, ive put in a split diff, and stuff, so alignment wasnt a issue when i did that upgrade. i do agree tho, that they slap these together and sometimes don't get stuff lined up perfectly. id do as mentioned and take it apart and rebuild it back, should fix alignment issues

You got a good one  I hear about this same problem all the time:(

i've had no feed back from the guy i purchased it from so ive ordered a new HPI clutch bell as im not happy with the hole being off centre, i think this is causing the spur/pinion to get stuck in places because the mesh doesn't feel bad otherwise, so once ive fitted that i'll try pushing down on the back to flex the rear chassis plate as you said OuttaLuck(thanks) to see if i can get the gear plate back in there, it does seem quite a distance out though, fail this i shall start the rebuild on the back end.

push down on the rear and front to flex the chassis so the hole lines up you wont hurt anything, insert the tranny bolt put it all back together install new bell carrier push car on floor if it rolls smoothly you have succeeded and should be right to go bashing :D :att don't torque anything down until everything is positioned and lines up also apply small amount of blue loctite to threads (Blue loctite only not red or green)

Well with abit of messing about pushing down on the back bumper bars & abit of persuasion i managed to get it back in there, are the Hpi ones the same or is this just all KM's, it seems a poor design?

i never had a problem with my hpi 5bss kit, Iv only found this problem with the kingmotor but really this is the only bad design other than that its a good kit :)

i should get the bell carrier early next week its been dispached today & also ordered some of the blue loctite you recommended aswell. Yes the kit seems spot on other than this temporary hiccup, i'd still like to compare a hpi upper plate or a excuse to buy the Turtle racing one if these are interchangable, im still sure mine is at a angle.

This bit just doesn't look right if that was slightly to the left it would be perfect

The QC at KM is not that hot, my motor had a 1mm gap between the two engine casings - the bolts were tight, had to turf that motor and got a Zen 26 - what a pleasure. It really goes like the clappers, Husky make good motors! besides that -NO PROBLEMS, just lost a rim when I hit a brick(driving skill shortage - or was it the beer???) Never mind, life is good with my KM!

i've just gone abit crazy after seeing all your TR bits & treated myself:D to the TR HD Clutch System in Silver, Black Font & Rear Shock Braces, Tranny plate- i wasn't sure what colour to go for with this black/silver i went for silver i'll see how it looks.

It sounds like you've had your fair share of fun with your Km:D i like the sound of that Zen 26 i might have to put one of them on my wish list.

i knew it would'nt take you long  good decision :)

Tip don't use the button head bolts that come with the clutch kit because their very hard to remove i had to use an easy out to remove mine  head strips to easy even using high quality tools with no loctite

i replaced mine with big hex head stainless steel bolt using s/s washer and spring washer on each bolt (no loctite required) Trust me these bolt stay tight but easy to remove when need be :) stock bolt 4mm tool required s/s bolt 5mm tool required
