Hands down.... Vekta.

It is certainly a RC will buy. My only worry is to see if the car is accepted or not. It will determine the life of the company.

THE VEKTA IS A BEAST!!!!!!
I want one...will probably be my next buy...but for you... with the racing thingy....I think a few thnigs come into play.

-First off, the DBXL and the Vekta cant even really be compared to each other...the Vekta is on this level the DBXL isn't even close too. Im not downing the DBXL, i own one, it is what it is, and what its NOT, is on the same level as the Vekta. Build materials and quality out the box doesn't even come close. Vekta wins that one, hand down.

-Whats your budget?

-Do you wanna race just to race or do you wanna race competitively and win?

-If you have the money for a Vekta ($1500-$2000) you could get a DBXL ($1000) and upgrade the hell out of it and have a beastly machine.. or consider the Losi 5ive t or 5ive B...aftermarket support for both is already established and they are both racing platforms.
-For that kind of coin you could get rollers and upgrade them to be exactly what you want/need them to be.

-Vekta 5 looks like its gonna handle better in rough terrain.

-The losi 5ives and DBXL may handle better in everything else....lower center of gravity...less roll..etc.. There are guys getting podiums races against 5ives with the DBXL

-The DBXL has some issues with the driveline and shocks but both are upgradeable and still would come in costing less than a Vekta with a motor.

-Vekta is 38lbs WITHOUT a motor...gonna need AT LEAST a 32cc w/pipe to make it move. Same motor in a smaller RC would have a much better power to weight ratio....but would probably start breaking things on the DBXL drivetrain....which can be upgraded.

Not to push people out of this forum, just a site in case you have additional questions about the Vekta.

Yeah DBXL, not really comparable in my opinion. I like the Vekta artr, but keep going back to the RCMK...
XCR-1200SE - RCMK XCR-1200SE (Special Edition) 1/5 Buggy, Wonder why the XCR 1200 SE never gets any attention? This thing looks pretty amazing on paper.

Forget about what you think the RCMK XCR is. What I can tell you is good luck! Very disappointing! The new Losi 5ive B looks great definitely racer born. If you wanna bash I still think the Baja 5b and 5t are still top choice due to ground clearance and the geometry of the suspension. These 4wd trucks are nice but can get beat on rough terrain. Bajas I thinks handle this way better. My 2 pennies worth[emoji106]

Not to mention the amount of upgrade parts and options for the baja. Dbxl not even close to a baja in options. You can go from sprint car, mud boss, rally, buggy, truck, and the snow set up for a baja and sand rail . I don't think there is a more versatile platform out there besides the baja.
