Some may know I went through two AS3035 servos, they are not the most reliable servos there are, but with some tweaking maybe some life can be expected out of them.

There are two things that at least affect its reliability, the limiter pin and the center maindrive pin.

Here is your servo, remove from the baja...

Remove the two top bolts and the four outer bottom bolts, the center lower bolts can be left alone.

Remove the 15T spindle gear, its a tight fit, but can be removed with some force, use some pliers etc.

On some servos the pin comes loose, its not a pressed, or not pressed enough. What happens is because its in place from the bottom up in the gear, it rests in the plastic as you can see in the picture by the footprint left by the pin dragging on the plastic case.

King Motor does not want to warrant the servo, it is not my fault, look how it dragged, which is one of the other reasons for such premature failure, between the force of the front wheels, and the dragging of the weak stop pin, took its toll.

The solution: flip the gear, it only uses about 30% of its diameter, the other side is intact.
You can use a pin from a 1/8th buggy, or cut the opposite end of a drill bit (which will be the same one to make the hole, but not too big). Once the gear is flipped drill a hole, start with baby steps, small bit, and work your way to the final bit diameter for the pin.

** try to drill that the pin will rest against the wall of the bearing carrier in the gear as shown in the picture. This way the pin will not move sideways, and make the hole somewhat tight so it will fit pressed in. I drilled through to make it easy for adjusting its height, or leave the pin a little longer, and once in place, cut to its correct length with a dremmel.

Compare the stock pin, in the table, against the new one, much bigger, and its located secured in the gear, not isolated as in the stock application. Of course this are just guidelines, it works for me.

King Motor never replied, and harassed by saying to stop any form of purchase with them. Its a legit issue which they need to resolve, I had two go bad in the same location due to a faulty pin that drags the spindle gear, no more. The pin is pressed and not rubbing with the housing plastic.

On the meantime, I recommend to buy the cnc servo mount, be sure to get the one that fits AS3035, seller sent me the wrong one.
