Hello I am looking to buy a KM soon. I like the idea of the roller and getting my own engine but its a KSRC -001 not 002. As far as the 002 options I see a 29cc and for about 50 bucks more a 30.5 REV version. I have read that these cars need higher revs more than they need torque.

Which engine option is the better option for the chassis ?

Go with the 30.5 ..it will give more torque and you can gear it up for more speed.
I've got the km X2 and only getting 31 mph out of the box with the 30.5cc I'm possibly in need of a bit of tuning still but seems slow. Any ideas?

Like I said, you'll find the sweet spot on your engine, you can also swap out gearing and see what you get. Keep the faith and throwing punches, you'll be glad you did, experimenting with these cars and wrenching is half the fun.

Wow, from May til now... its all good.

I, if would do it all over again, a roller with the 30.5cc...

Although two stroke like to be in the high rev range, its simply difficult to keep it at wot on a 2 wheel drive car.

My style of driving is to have that extra torque in the low end, and coming out of turns, super cool when attempting power slides.
