With my local dirty track closed, I'm going to start running my KM Baja buggy on pavement some. Don't want to wear out my off-road tires so going to get a complete wheel/tire set for pavement. I know there are better options than King Motor and Rovan for tires but those are in my price range right now.

Looking on the Rovan RC site I see 2 styles of on-road tires. Even with the better brand it seems like these two styles are the main choices. So which is better the tarmac tire or slicks? Will be running on road, cul-de-sac, and parking lots near my house or where I find a good spot around town. I'll add links to the tires when I get on my computer at home, kind hard to do from the cell.

It's a 2wd buggy, but would it possibly be better to run rear tires all around for better traction strong and handling? Or am I better off sticking with the normal sizes?

They are great tires, and have a long life / wear time.
The stock tarmac busters are also very good, just do not last as long, because they are thinner material.

I will add a question- do they ballooning at 70-100kmh? (Hostile slick without belt)

I would say that you could see some ballooning, depending on the foams used, and the type of tires used.
I would suggest a harder compound to try and keep that down, but belted foams, and tires would be recommended if going above 80kmh.

Personal opinion of course.

Okay. Thanx.
And what do you think about taping them with gorilla Tape?

Taping the foams, and also using as a belt inside the tire can work.
Make sure the surfaces are clean before applying the tape.

Over time though, you might have to take them back apart, and re-apply.

If your running Hostile hard or extra hard compound, I don't think u would need to tape the tires. Maybe the foams but my Hostile mxt hard compound tire hardly balloon at all at 48 mph
