Good to see another clone driver who simply ignores the detractors. My X2 is slowly becoming the terminator. If you get the chance to open your diffs and check the shims it recommend it. Mine had some metal flashing in the rear and not all of the shims were in the center diff. (Non global issue) Easy fixes since diff kits are cheap. Once installed properly they are no longer an issue. The included pinion is crap for sure. New Losi unit solved that for good. Most all the parts i have upgraded have been by choice and an unrelenting need to have shiny bits on my truck. Still pleased as punch over my purchase.

thought I might bring up this thread again. from my experiences.
I my self have a rovan lt, that was generously given to me to race thanks to- www.pprc.net.au
this was bought second hand, but was new. the owner used it for parts (more little bits)
the truck was rebuilt and re oiled, just for the heck of it because I was going got thrash it around the track.
mine had a 27.5 4 bolt engine in originally. first impressions when i took it for its first race was WOW!
ive had experiences with rovan clones before and there not the best compared to my race comp 2wd hpi which is now retired.
the first race I didnt break anything at all the only issues i had was the servos sucking heaps of juice in the first heat. the nihm held up.
until we had a two hour enduro. i drove for a full hour! a full hour on a clone and didn't have one issue but the battery going flat and killswitch glitching out (killer bee).... other then that we placed 7th only because my team mate didn't pull his socks up and didn't have his rovan ready but over all i completed 70 laps. i was very impressed and i was pushing this car hard.. like really hard... to see what it could do. over all i've only had engine issues now and i've now got a 29cc zen. reliable and good quality everything else has held up besides my own fault coming over the jump wrong and bending a pin (which are now losi) besides that its stock and i haven't had a issue. with quality. the diffs have held up nicely and haven't had a issue yet i might do a complete diff rebuild with oil and seals before the nationals. but so far no complaints. i recommend a clone if your on a budget, and replace with losi parts as you go.

Pictures will re-enforce your reply.

Clones had a rough start but have catch up and parts are the same or better. I returned all my RPM A-arms, mine have not broken yet since owning and destructive bashing, je je.

You should have introduce yourself in the above thread, but you are fine.

Very nice, opening a new rc out of the box is an awesome feeling, like Christmas all over again.

Open a new thread, this way you provide your input pros and cons, others may know, (including myself), what things may have changed etc.
And of course its your own thread and go along with it be it a build, pics, etc.

Welcome aboard to LSF!

Sorry crankestein. went and dun it.;)

Here are some pics after receiving a huge box on my door step lol .

I ordered the killer rc failsafe/kill switch combo yesterday.
I just do not fill safe running this huge truck around and not being able to stop it.
It really could heart someone bad.
Anyone have any exsperacne with the failsafe/kill switch ?

Always good to have an 18 kg / 40 lb rig 'made safe'.
Just a clarification.
I think your radio set - transmitter / receiver - should include the FAILSAFE. This you can set in the event of communication loss to, for example FULL BRAKES and / or STEERING (left or right) - I don't think the Killer Bee includes this.
The Killer Bee is a remote KILL SWITCH - in the event of COMMUNICATION AND/OR POWER LOSS (Failsafe needs power) it will cut the ignition.
I have my FG MT set up so that the 3rd channel will cut the ignition, but if I cut the radio transmitter (Tx) it cuts the motor and applies full brakes.
Al.

Here are a few more pictures.
