Window nets for baja 5t

I've used a black string vest in my FG MT - see Avatar. Not that bad and moves a little - not just rigid plastic.

I'm using the polyester mesh from inside of my old training trousers,with silicone fixing around the windows edges! The effect is brilliant!

Wanted a different look for the front windows than the plastic screen.For $2 I picked up a roll of what looks like round shoe string. Then went to weaving and super gluing. Get creative and make any size and shape you like. Tack them to a board however you want them. I put some extra glue on all the seams and hit it with some black spray paint. Seems to be holding up.

Yes GPM. Removed the red anodizing they came in. I wanted the aluminum look. Probably half the price of all aluminum rims, and I would guess lighter too.

Yes I would think so. A friend of mine has an rc shop and he has a full aluminum set. They are very heavy. I'm thinking of getting those rims. Didn't know of anyone who actually had them. Thanks for the window net idea too. It's perfect.

Alloys look great but they can get damaged quite easily.
It really depends how you're going to use it.
If you're going to 'bash hard' then perhaps staying with plastic wheels - much cheaper and less of a problem should they get damaged to replace - might be the way.
If there's a big shoulder - which I don't see in the photo above - then they're protected a little. These look quite exposed.

Not a huge basher here, but I do put it through its paces sometimes. It did notice few times with the plastic chrome one, running with a lot of little rocks or gravel puts scratches on them. The lip on these I guess you would say is the bead lock , I have plenty of these to sacrifice. The inner aluminum rim itself, will probably see some hits and scratches, hopefully not too deep. They're thicker than I thought they would be, lots to work with. Usually some 400-600 sanding with some Mothers aluminum polish can dress things up a little. For the price, I think they're ok. The ones DDM has do look good.
