Been working on my F1 for a few months now, almost done got most of my parts from DDM just need to find some Tires and figure out what pipe to get, not doing any racing just running in parking lots. Kind of hard car to build from ground up. I cut out the drivers area I'm waiting on my drivers helmet so I can make the cockpit a little more detailed I have micro servos I'm going to use to make steering wheel and drivers head turn. Only issue I'm having is finding tires in the states for the stock wheels DDM couldn't get them. I'm trying to avoid ordering outside US haven't had so good luck with that
 
Your F1 car is coming together really well. Creative idea about the moving driver's head and steering wheel.

You might consider buying pre-assembled wheels. I have two sets of unmounted tires, and it was a pain in the ass to get the tires glued onto the rim, Never Again...

Yep I think will get a set from DDM It looks like it will a pain to get them glued ,I wish they had a set that was not super soft .
 
Pic of son, I run in one of the many large parking lots near my house in Lacey and some times at go kart track west of Parkland. going to make it down to the 5th scale track in Battle ground WA when the F1 is done.
 
got the drivers head in today going to work on that this weekend also found a local place to print out decals so I can take off the ugly decals that are on the car, not a lot of room in cockpit arear so its going to be interesting getting the drive done. will post pics tomorrow

IMG_0359.JPG IMG_0296.JPG IMG_0304.JPG IMG_0359.JPG I think the track is closed down I'm going to have to ask my buddy down there. getting close got the head and steering mod done just need to add detail. waited for weeks for tires they came in Friday all 3 set are for touring car :mad:so I give up just going to buy the new wheels from DDM I like the old wheels better.

now that I figured out the servo placement for the driver and got it working I started taking it all out so I can add driver and steering wheel and make it look good. The driver and steering wheel should be here next week, started getting helmet together today.

kind of slow going after surgery almost done with F1, starting to work on another sportsline almost have everything to complete it . I really like the McLaren body so I am doing a restore on one I got a while ago.

Well I am absolutely done with this car its getting me to frustrated I'm going to stick to sportsline sedan's any body interested I let me know will be happy to see it go for little to nothing or trade for sportsline roller
 
Don't give up, back away for awhile, then come back to it, you'll see that it will all come together.I'm a cancer patient and have learned never to give up.
