Hello Dears,

I am new to Largescaleforums and new to the whole Large Scale RC cars world, i recently bought a brand new Rovan RC 1/5 32cc Engine, an overall opinion its a good and powerful car i like it, i drove it many times on beach sand it was performing very well, until i wanted to test it on Tarmac i noticed that it was veering to the left on low speed, i started to check what might be causing this and i did not found anything wrong with front arms and balls a little play with the tires on both sides but i think its normal for plastic arms.

the question for your dear experts what cause the car to veer like this and not to go in straight line on Low\High speed please check the video to have a better look to car.

Any Advise will be appreciated :)

Thanks a lot for your reply dude , as it is new The shocks was without oil and i just discovered that the diff was without diff fluid too, one of the rear wheels was running faster than the other, i filled some grease, lubricated the bearings and it was enough to make it runs straight :) i tested today and everything seems to be alright.

Wow....thats insane that it came like that, like they all say its necessary to go over the whole car before running it..my diffs barely had grease. Always remove all the metal to metal screws and loctite them down, another impotant thing is to get a programmable radio and set the end points of the servos to ensure long life of your electronics, any binding will cut the servo life

Yes dude this is the story, and like you said i went to each and every screw in the car to tighten them all in th first day but i didn’t took in consideration that the car might be without the shocks oil and diff lubs, i noticed that because i decide strip off all the shocks and the diff to look inside and i was lucky doing that.

Hi Elie make sure you steering servo arm is at 1 o'clock. loosten your front tie rod ends. put the truck up on a stand. remove all 4 tires. take a ruler and put the edge up against the rear and front axel. adjust the front turnbuckle until its flush against the ruler. do this to both sides.than take a ruler and measure the distance of the front center of the tires, and do the same to the back of the front tires. the measurement should be the same. lock the nut on the tie rod ends good to go good luck

Buddy of mine bought a used chimera and on the first run bkh driveshafts came loose and also the engine bolt with spacer under the engine....insane how people don't loctite these machines

Screw diamonds, Locktite is a girls best friend.
However, some alloy screws are weakened by the chemical make up of Locktite.

Beware, Not all nuts and bolts are created equal. It can cause the threads to weaken resulting in stripped bolts.

Elie, I don't know if you are still on here but did you ever solve your buggy not running straight? The reason I ask is I'm having the same issue with my Rovan . I found that I can't set the steering servo horn to +10deg.. It was at about -3 deg ,when I try to set to +10 it's at about +18 deg. Not good. I'm thinking the internals of the Rovan servo are off internally a little bit.
