Hey gents, I was wondering how everyone transport's their Baja to the track/bashing area? I tried finding a Tupperware box big enough but no luck. I don't like strapping it down because the shocks are compressed. I have a 4runner with a rack that hooks up to the hitch I made. I don't want it in the car with the gas smell and my baby

So I think I will make a wooden box with these options
1. tires are off the ground(like a work station)
2. Good handles/tiedown spots to secure it to my rack
3. Lid that closes with a latch
4. Spot for remote and extra batteries/gas can

Any tips before I get started? Anyone is the same position I am? Thanks

When I clean my baja I empty gas out. It doesn't stink. Bout the only way it smells is if it has gas in it and leaks out the vent. I keep them in the house as well. They don't stink unless there dirty and have gas in the tank. I also plug the exhaust tip.

I went camping and took it with me, the gas leaked out of the vent when I stood it up on a seat. It had a full tank of gas, smelt strong after a few miles. I had other stuff on the outside of the car.

I put mine in the trunk when driving, but because I drive a 4-door sedan. I saw a big plastic rubbermade trunk big enough to fit the machine, probably two full sets of tires, and a gas can. Plus it was a solid back one with decent locking tabs. If it had wheels I would have nabbed it, aaaand if I drove a pickup at least

I'll look into the roof rack idea. The plastic tubes are smaller than they say they are. I bought one that was big enough to fit it but when I measured the bin, it was way smaller

He'll I just lay a towel down in the back of my suv and throw them back there. As long as there is very little to no gas in them, they don't stink at all.

There is one bash spot I now frequent one has to walk 50 yards or so. My son used to pull his rig by the front bumper. I didn’t like the idea of the rear bumper being scraped. I picked this up after seeing the one used by the local US Postal carrier. The US Postal version I seen was all aluminum, no plastic parts on it. This model I purchased was from the local Lowes. It does have plastic pieces. IMG_1782.JPGIMG_1783.JPG

I usually carry a Camelbak so I usually stuff some tools on there. It is possible to strap a gallon of fuel on the hand truck as well.

Now that's an awesome idea.
