Hello guys, is it a good idea to install same size rear and front tires on a baja 5b 32cc 19/55 pinion/spur metal ? And how to avoid wheels from balooning ?

Is there any benifits with alloy rims ?

Thank you.

Evssv is right, kinda....lol....I’ve not encountered my rims looking like poo....and I can polish them out once in awhile if they do....my issue with aluminum rims (I’ll use the 2 kinds DDM offers) is durability....I have the 5 spoke, but I wouldn’t bash hard on the split spoke design they have....those imo are shelf queen easy goin rims, not for full out reckless abandon bashing or racing.....but as far as looks....mine are ok.
My experience with ballooning......I found I didn’t need the hostile zero gravity’s, at least not yet, and they are heavy.....so right now I have normal medium foams inserted and have had no troubles....I run hb rear size rim and tire with dune ripper paddles on all 4 corners for my losi 5 in the sand....standard size rim size for everything else.....?

I can take some close ups later to post....but here is a pic of my aluminum 5 spokes....and I’ve run them a few more times since, and they still look the same....lol....imo they will never look bad. ?

With 2WD it doesn't matter whether you run the same size or not.
4WD is a different matter as far as diameter goes but width doesn't matter.
I run 170 diameter all round with 60 width on the front and 80 on the back of my Dunerunner.
Thinner fronts steer beter.

Sandpaper them lightly on the inside. Apply ducttape or stronger in a straight line all the way around on the inside. Do a few rounds of tape if you like but avoid too much overlapping. You have to turn the tire inside out to do this. Baja 5T and 5SC run with same size wheels front and back and I don't find that it does much difference tbh. It is still a 2WD back wheels driven vehicle and behaves as such. If it was 4wd it may do more difference to handling.
