Hey guys,
Need some feedback on to what extent you remove the window panels on these 1/5 gas RTR's. My Rovan truck body is full (nothing is cut). I always cut out the windshield and the back window of my nitro trucks to funnel air past the head, but now with 1/5 im not sure what's needed to help keep the engine as cool as possible ?

My Vekta.5 came with no front, rear or side window panels. I drilled holes in the front window of my TLR 5ive B because I read that it helps with cooling issues. And Rovan buggies come completely unenclosed. I think the front window should have some openings to assist with cooling but that's just my $.02.

I'm on the same page as you. Seems to me the idea is to funnel clean air through the WS opening and try to aim towards the recoil housing.

With the fan forced cooling it isnt such an issue to have tones of air rushing past. (If cooling system moves lots of air to begin with) I've seen "completely" closed set ups that never over heat. Having said that my dbxl didnt come with any windows either the while thing is rather open to begin with so many it's more critical on other models?

The trouble with cutting out windows is that the car and your cooing fins end up full of grass, dirt etc.
You can buy windows to install on HPI Bajas.
