I've resisted the Traxxas line of products for a while now , but the videos , the reviews , all the talk at the track , I've finnaly decided to join the world of hype over the X MAX , FROM WHAT IM being told , our fearless tweeter king , country's leader what's to sponsor my X MAX purchase !! So I'm getting this thing and see for myself what all the yelling is about

I would venture out and say it may be the most reliable rc of all time. And it’s free...

The Xmaxx is what every RC should be. It proves we shouldn't have to put up with sub par expensive junk. The difference is that drastic when it comes to reliability. You'll be amazed at the abuse it shakes off. Then its super easy and cheap to fix what does break. All that in a very big, well priced rig. I can't think of anything else thats close.

One of my first cars/trucks was a Nitro Rustler. It was ok but I'm not a nitro guy. I never bought another Traxxas for about 20 odd years then a used Slash 4x4 came up on one of the forums with RPM everything and Proline shocks. It was a roller so I put a Hobbywing Esc in and a Castle Creations motor in too.
I have to admit its one of my favourite RC's in my collection. Bullet proof and a hoot to take out.
I have only bust one thing on it and that was a rear hub , driving it in the works garage and it was roughly zero degrees so the plastic was brittle. Apart from that , noting else.
Here is a quick vid of it with 3s in , a bit uncontrollable on the gravel surface but great on tarmac.

I have/ had (lives at my brothers house) an e revo. Loved it at first then hated fixing it. Still have a nitro rustler down in the man cave. That was a pos too. It's actually refreshing to hear such good things about the x maxx

WTH Proprietary batteries and charger. Now that sucks . Count me out. Looks cool though. Enjoy. Think if I was going e-word on a 4 wheeler I'm thinking Losi . At least then I wouldn't need to buy another battery charger and possibly use the batteries I already have .

Looked it up coop. And stand by what I said. Cut the connectors off the esc solder on what you want for a series connection and use whatever batteries you want. Simple. No need for traxxas specific connectors
And mike, I see your funny face response, what you use for batteries and connectors ?

Side of battery when you zoom in on their site says balancer leads and power leads all in one plug. So if you were really bored you could take everything apart and make it work. But would just be easier to get batteries setup the way you need it. 2X 4s packs with balance leads separate and good to go
