Me to! Love my xdm and xds. When I was in the academy, around 80% of the students had glocks. Atleast 30% of those had jams, double feeds, etc throughout the 6 months I was their. We shot around 20k rounds. One kids was really bad, henfought it for a couple months before the instructors told him to take it back before it failed him and the course. He came back with a brand new the next day. The dealer shot it and couldn't believe how bad it was, he ended up doing and exchange for it. I frankly don't like glocks as they are very uncomfortable. My Springfields have never had a single issue even firing poop ammo through them when many others have
My first gen 3 G 19 had a few issues. It would stove pipe on occasion. Took it back, the extractor had a crack in it. Stupid. Pot metal they used. Swapped it out for a solid steel extractor amd it's been flawless for years now, picked up a gen 4 G19 about 2 years ago, haven't had any issues with cheap ammo. It just eats it. The grip, is much nicer then the gen 3 models. Like I said either like them or not. Although I've been eyeing a sig p320 legion. If I can find one in stock at a decent price (thanks covid) I'd like to pick one up.

I am a full size car guy as well. My on going project right now is my 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Been building it for about 5 years now. Full chrome under carriage, hydraulics, custom sound system and so on. Do 95% of the work myself and with a couple buddies. Been into lowriders since I was a kid. Built model kits, then lowrider bikes, and then real cars. Had a ton of cars/trucks through the years. This is it currently:View attachment 64034
does it hop off the ground? Seen that once and the cars were catching hugh air.?

Its hard to argue with the reliability of a revolver. Its not that semi autos are prone to failure, but a double feed or whatever else only needs to happen once at the wrong time. That doesn't id carry one either. Im a 1911 guy. Ive got the most practice with one and shoot the best with it. Same reason I would take my old lever action. Ive shot it so much a sub 100 yard shot hardly requires me to aim. Its just point n squeeze. Plus ive seen people hit with multiple small caliber rounds (5.56) not go down. That does NOT happen with 45-70. That my philosophy anyways.?‍♂️

I carry a 1911 as well. I've done work to the feed ramp and extractor and haven't had a failure since. I like they way they fit my and and I feel most comfortable shooting them. If you get into a situation where you need more than 7 or 8 rounds at a time, I'm not sure how good your chances will be anyway. Obviously that's my personal opinion.

Someone asked for under hood pics of my truck. Mind now it's been off the road for a chassis swap for about a year now, so it's not gotten the love it so desires.

I found a company that claims they can make a custom dash for the 96 cab to accept all my autometer gauges amd still be able to keep the heater/ac duct behind it.
The plan is to swap everything over to this frame

And the firewall and interior out of this truck will be going in the orange cab

That's about where it stands till I get some funds saved up.
