You guys have been a wealth of information and I very much appreciate it. So now I have yet another question. We have a dirt oval we run not clay but hard packed dirt. I wondered if anyone had some baseline setups? One of the things I would like to try is some different springs especially on the rear they seem quite soft to me but I haven’t seen anyplace that sells other than stock for the 2.0. Thanks

I would maybe keep the same springs but try adjusting the anti roll bars. Then on outside wheels adjust camber and preload so you make maximum tyre contact with the track.
What you don't want to do is create traction roll overs.

Have a youtube of what full size oval racers do, it'll point you in right direction for 5th scale.

Try adjusting the shock oil weight up to match the new spring rate. Add a little camber more front than rear. Adjusting your diff fluids F/C/R can make a huge difference. too
The problem with that and dbxl shocks is they use diff weight fluid instead of shock fluid, going too stiff on the shock fluid will break the piston in the shock. Idk if the 2.0 shocks have been re-engineered to accommodate the standard weight shock fluids or not, but over compensating for spring that are too stiff to begin with isn't a good idea in of itself either

My manual says the shocks just use #40wt silicone shock fluid. I did get some of the ddm springs and I was thinking of trying them with 45wt oil. One of my biggest problems was my servo saver adjustment kept losing up so every time I thought I was having a big push on corner entry it actually was just not turning the steering under a load.

I am running 50wt(Red)with the ddm's. That's a little over 20% of the factory 40wt, Seems to be a good match so far. No piston issues yet but I'm not bashing. Just running this thing though my track in the woods. Lots of fun so far making different adjustments to make it handle the way I want. May try 60wt.

Interesting, losi must have finally updated the shocks, took them long enough.
