That will work just fine, but you will want to add a low voltage cutoff. I am using a 2s hardcase shorty lipo with a wiring adapter from the pack's leads to the radio plug (Futaba J).

30.5 stock ported is what I run in the heavier 5ive T. Does donuts on clean blacktop! Not really a high revving speed machine though....I would lean toward a ported 28.5 cc or 29cc in a DBXL as it revs to the moon and you don't need near as much torque as I do....The 30.5 would require a re-gear...

6.5 mm bullets are adequate, but 8 mm bullets will be insurance. Always pre-check insulation before plugging in....

I really like power hd digital servos for this application. http://www.valuehobby.com/radio-systems-servos/servos/power-hd-8312-tg.html I would not trust anything cheaper in my 5th. scale to be honest. These are fast, strong, and durable.

I am not a fan of 30+cc big bore kits on the 2 bolt block. I had problems with gaskets leaking on the bigger thumper kits. The Zenoah G290rc is the most reliable engine in 5th scales right now. It would be plenty of power for the DBXL and a great choice IMO. Keep in mind that the 26cc and 29cc...

Have you priced wheels? They are worth fussing with, usually...saves you $50-60 on average.

I saw the Losi 5b with an ESP race ported 27cc Zenoah and X-can exhaust and it was awesome on track. Linear power band with screaming top end, picture 1/8 scale throttle response in a big buggy. The owner said the better servos made the biggest difference from his 5ive T...Something to keep in mind.

What was wrong with the Rovan split diff. mount part? I had heard good things about them. Fit, finish, etc....

Ask somebody who has a just released truck....... Good luck finding somebody....They all speak Chinese anyway!
