    integy shocks

Does anyone have any experience with these type4 shocks? They look pretty beefy and are a decent price.

    DBXL suspension question

Stock dbxl shocks are very slow to rebound and can't react fast enough to soak up the next bump. I've changed to 5ive T shocks. The pistons inside the shock are much more user friendly and you don't have to run diff oil in your shocks. Some owners have filled in the stock piston holes and...

    Aluminum Steering Servo Horn

If you're just bashing around, go for the plastic again. Just have them handy when you run so it's a quick fix. Soften up the spring on the servo saver too. That'll provide more flex/give to the horn. If you're racing, get the aluminum and upgrade the crap stock servo to something better.

    DGI Gears

Less teeth on the spur will give more speed. You can go smaller spur with the same pinion. Move the engine, it'll mesh fine. Less teeth on pinion will give more torque.

    Turnbuckle ends

The stock turnbuckles are the way to go. The dgi pieces are garbage. If you buy the set of turnbuckles from horizon, you'll have all you need for a while cuz there's more than one of each piece. The metal ones are not very convenient when one breaks. Well, anything breaking isn't convenient but...

    FLM extended arm kit

Wouldn't the dgi axle extensions have the same affect as these extended arms? Axle Extensions give the same track width, therefor the same handling characteristics No need for messing around with extended shafts, tie rods etc. $60 for extended axles vs $225 for this kit that needs special shafts...

    losi DBXL pipes?

Nothing beats the sound of an unsilenced Bartolone pipe. I have both but I run the louder pipe when I can. Certain tracks allow me to run unsilenced and some don't. It's nice to actually hear your engine from the driver's stand which can easily be about 200' away from the buggy on the tracks...

    DGI Gears

It'll probably take forever for the power band of the motor to hit with any of these. It's one thing to add pinion teeth but this multiplies the effect with the smaller spur. The torquiest option would be the 22/59 but you'd have quite a bit more top speed than stock.

    Machined chassis is nice too.

    steering drag link

Do you mean the Ackerman arm? Yes, mine is scarred for life too. It's too close to the centre diff ujoint. I've noticed quite a bit of up and down play in the rear diff so I'm thinking the front will also move the same way. The chassis flex will also cause the two to run. Just a design flaw I'm...

DBXL no go at full throttle

A drive pin must have come out somewhere. Check every u-joint. With this being your first time with it, check the diff fluid levels in all three diffs. If a pin did come out somewhere, You don't wanna be revving to high heaven if one side of the diff is getting all the drive power. The heat...

    From the driver's seat

http://youtu.be/EzmmmS-dKI8 This was from the Sunday of the Canadian 5th scale Nationals. Main event day! Just a few laps from open practice. Rained pretty much all of Saturday night so it was a little greasy the next morning. Dried up nicely for the afternoon tho.

    dog bones, and drive lines..

Bending all 4 axles is quite a feat. I've only bent one and it's been through some nasty tumbles off of some pretty big jumps during a race. These machines require constant attention to what's going on with them. Constant checking of each screw for tightness. After each run I'll check that those...

    Drop in fit steering servos.

Savox is essentially a losi servo and drops right in. No issues and performs flawlessly. Well worth the $$. Fewer teeth on the horn spline but the stock Losi 5t horn mounts right on, is aluminum and comes with a threaded arm.

Got a DBXL second hand...Have questions.

You'll definitely notice a difference in top speed with the shorter tires. A big difference actually. I ran Baja 5b tires all around on desperados for a few laps at the track. It's like running a 19t pinion compared to the 21 tooth. Looked bad ass but would be good on grass or a muddy type surface.

    DBXL diffs.

I'd do shock towers, control arms, chassis braces or steering bell cranks in that case. You get both bling AND function. The Area steering system is the best upgrade out there. The centre diff mount is pretty slick too. Oh, front and rear bulk heads too lol

    DBXL running poor

Check your throttle servo. They've been known to act funny after a while of running. Not sure what tuned pipe you've got but the Bartalone puts the pipe RIGHT close to the servo. Mine would heat up and stop working then would work once it cooled down.

    DBXL diffs.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the stock diff cases? Sure they're pretty aluminum but is there any real benefit to them?
