    Toyan engine (Current trends)

I would love to make a Conley project. But as you say... I could get 3 top of the line engines for the same money. So if its just for driving its not a good solution, though you have to admit.... this looks badass. Ugly ass bolted together from stuff found in the garbage can ,car. but throw...

    Toyan engine (Current trends)

They are stunning but Conley, v12 (german company) et all. While they are beautiful and look scale I suspect that all those moving parts eats up A LOT of power. I doubt they have much of it. But then I saw the video of the v12 in a largescale and it seemed very willing to move. Who knows. I don't...

    Toyan engine (Current trends)

But you get the wooden block. Handcrafted by Sterlingworks? Whoever they are. That wooden block with all the work that went into it is easily worth the remaining 1000$. Its value baby. You are right they are all four stroke. The smaller ersion or the first version is just being mislabelled by...

    My project 5b 2.0

You don't say?! Those damn hippies and their pot! I had no idea that those fart sniffers had their own country. Damn, live and learn.

    Toyan engine (Current trends)

That little Toyan engine seems to have kicked off a whole thing. Several RC channels either have or are building one or more vehicles with their little four stroke. I wonder if this bodes well for large scale as a trickle down effect. I would love to get one to mess about with. Not super...

Which charger do you guys use.

Something named 'karate'. Supposedly one of the better copies of that button design that everybody copies. I paid around 100 buck for it and its going strong on its 4th year without issue. doesn't get hot. doesn't make much noise (the fan is not loud) and its reasonable fast. It can do x2 and up...

    My project 5b 2.0

Of course we are going to mock you mercilessly for being a pussy but the truth is that my own LST2's see a lot more action than my large scales. Because I can run the electric trucks in my neighbourhood. So if I have 15 minutes to waste which ever vehicle gets me into action faster, wins. I am...

    George's Kraken Vekta.5 Ownership/Build Thread

Lovely Kraken, but could I get you to post a couple of pictures of the one in your profile pic to me via PM or in another thread. It looks like it deserves a 'show off' thread of its own? Where did you get that shell?

"The world becomes a safer place"?????????

I hear the desert is where hippies go to take their mushrooms, so maybe thats why? Those rails disturb the local pretty wild life, man?

    A tree stole my bike.

That is an incredible find. There is a popular photo making the rounds with a similar subject but this is cooler.

What vehicle should get the 'scale' treatment?

You can make one from a few meters of sheet alloy and a pair of scissors. I think making it the traditional way would actually be the harder way with that particular vehicle.

    Arrama 8s ?

Seriously evssv. I've just discovered that sheet Lexan in industrial volume sale (more than 1000) is about 1,50$ per square meter (ca what's needed for a largescale shell). So either someone are paying for royalties to vehicle companies with blood and pounds of flesh or they keep a very very...

    Arrama 8s ?

It's habbitual thinking, I reckon. It's expensive bebcause its niché and its niché because its expensive. :ROFLMAO::rolleyes:o_O:whistle: "I cant sell a billion of these so the ones I do make must cost a billion each"....

What vehicle should get the 'scale' treatment?

I have been looking at the market for hobbyist CnC mills. For the price of a couple of large scales you can get one that is plenty for cutting out a model in hard foam and its not complicated to make a vacuum bed. It may actually make more sense to get these machines than to rent time at...

    New-AUDI RS3 1/5th scale Touring Car body

Thats exactly the kind of thing I want to see for large scale. Shut up and take my money!

What vehicle should get the 'scale' treatment?

Just from what I have found already, having a one off model made from hard foam doesn't have be that expensive. Prototyping is a booming market with more new actors in than you can shake a stick at and the prices are looking bloody. Well thats a bummer. I think it will be worth to at least take...

What vehicle should get the 'scale' treatment?

I do not disagree with your assessment. But I would like to add that it appears that 3D printing companies gets around this issue for the reason I stated. I am not the one calling it "mercedes". You the costumer may. I call it "the 3d mesh file" or some such. It seems trivial but its the kind of...

What vehicle should get the 'scale' treatment?

I don't see how that is an issue. As I am not selling you a model. I am selling you a service in which you give me a 3d wireframe and I give you back a lexan object that looks like that wireframe. I am not under any obligation to make moral judgements about my costumers choices in designs. I...
