I just put the Hobbywing 12s set up in a Rovan LT and it is a beast. That thing will be nuts with 20hp. What tires are you going to run? 20hp, is that a 14s set up, I see 63v on it.

SMC batts are best batts Like Tacky says, more Mah is better. 5600 and 6600 are fine but will need changed out more than 7500 or 10k batts will.

I run the Max5 g1 with the same setup, only diff is all three of my connectors are EC5 and it is in a Baja. Two EC5 into one QS8 will be fine. The Baja in my sig is electrified.

A guy I used to work with said to try a lil bit of oil on the bead lock ring, only the ring. He says to put a lil on a q tip and rib it around the tire side of the bead lock ring. He says not to use a lot but to get a lil on it. Helps the tabs fall into place he says. Any of you guys ever...

Thanks for the replys. Been mounting tires on baja wheels for a long time and have never seen this before. I have tried DDM rings, baja rings, rings from a buddies losi and several others. I have tried madmax wheels, baja wheels and a losi wheel. I'll figure something out.

Did I get the wrong size tire? I have tried several bead lock rings and all are like this. Tires are the madmax belted street sweepers. I have tried losi, rovan and madmax wheels. Can't get the bead in place all the way around. Weird

I won't get another chance to mess with it till the weekend again. I still need to mount the box and hide the wires. They are very nice models. I used an old Tamiya nicad for power and it worked fine.
