    Best steering servo for MT

Use the multiplex rhino myself - pretty good for the $$. Ultimate power - tonegawa - mega $$ in comparison though - also need seperate power supply etc - there's a post on it somewhere, I just can't find it

    Roll bar with lights

I'd be careful putting that on too - first time the truck rolls - you wil probably trash that light set something nasty:( When these things roll - they go hard, still fixing them is fun too:blush:

New A bar & sump guard

Lights are the standard FG ones part number 5436. You will need a bracket to mount them on also - I used the KCR one part number KCR 016. Just remember to put a spacer between the lamp bracket and the A bar mount plate - otherwise the 2 out lights hit the A bar. Total cost was approx £20 for me...

New A bar & sump guard

RCNUTS is correct, I had the A bar and sump guard on the front of my MT. First time the truck rolled - the A bar gets bent back into the body - mine eventually snapped off. In the end I made my own version - see the picks - now it doesn't bend at all:cool2: Although if it hits anyone it...

My monster went for a swim!

Amazing how things like rivers don't leap out of the way when the truck is coming.:boat: Looks like you were practicing for a big jump - across the river maybe?:clown: Better luck next itme.

    Strange problem

Think he means one of these - I am waiting for one to come (about £6), but in my case it's to stop grass clogging up the fins rather than a problem with radiant heat.:) Just realised the piccy is very small - anyway the FG part number is 7333 - here's a link to the page...

Mug Shots....What do you look like?

OBBE - he drives better than me - either the MT or the car, I think, just wish he had a longer attention span than a fly - makes going through traffic interesting.........:helpsmilie:

    What RCs do you own?

Holy smokes Batman...or should I say Dirtkiller. To many more and the house will give up the ghost let alone your wife:) Puts my little collection to shame Old and battered Inferno DX2 Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger Tank, with full option turret FG MT with alloy and Jetpro - converted from a...

    Steering servo install issue?

I agree - instructions would be good - but then again I kind of viewed it as an ownership test. Either you could work it out - or you didn't deserve it:) That said it always gives me a headache trying to work it out and the amount I wreck the truck that's almost daily:)

    What Do You Do?

I the European Engineering Manager for a chemical manufacturer - means I spend a lot of time sleeping on planes and trying to act intelligent in front of guys who do actually know what they are doing.:) Means I get less time than I would like to play with the MT - still when I do I have fun.

    Newbie

I'd recommend an outerwears cover for the cooling fan on the motor, same deal (or a redneck filter) for the air intake - amazing the amount of the local scenery you end up with in there :) - more so if you are going bashing on sand.

    No Golf!

Took about 30 minutes with a vacuum cleaner to get the grass out........now I need a new vacuum cleaner too..........so the wife says, or I could just ask her to use a brush:clap: Anyway - the way I drive I will be removing more posts than grass from it:laugh: Still, could be worse - I...

    No Golf!

BtB - no sweat at all ....... I'm :cool2: . I took your comments in the way I think you meant them, in fun(sympathy) - and also recognised the dozer comment from reading the rest of the forum. I like the alloy - but when I converted this from the Pajero - I had a total plan about adding...

    No Golf!

Definitely not about showcasing the truck - want to drive it and when it gets broke, fix it. Fixing is half the fun for me:) Being new - well the advice is welcome and makes sense about buying plastic if the alloy breaks too............so no sweat:mellow: Trouble is I like it shiny...

    Fg Set Up Tips !

:) Agreed - the steering set up does not appear to be the problem for me - look at the post "No Golf" in the MT section. Eyeballing the set up is one thing - being able to drive, something else:clown:

    No Golf!

Well - I finished converting the Pajero to MT and decided to take it out this morning for bash around the field in front of my house and to get the engine tuned in. Things were going great, the engine was coming in nice and strong - and then I decided to get adventurous - started driving it...

    Fg Set Up Tips !

Thanks Marder69 for the look up The trouble I've been having is trying to translate the degrees through the steering set up - measuring angles that small without a reference bench is well...not much fun! I was kinda hoping someone might be a lot more orgainsed than me and made a note of the...

Help please - steering set up

Can anyone tell me what the "standard" FG set up is for toe in/out on the front and rear axles of the MT? Would also be useful if you can tell me how to measure it. I don't have access to any special gear to measure - so centre distances from serov saver to steering arm is probably the...
