Still haven't run my Rio 51

That almost has a good rhythm to it... "Still ain't run my Rio 51" Anyway. I've heard of the exhaust pipe cracking and eventually case cracking. Does Horizon still have the pipes for the Fuji Imvac engines? I think the new 2.4 ghz Rio 51 has a Zenoah in it. I'll probably eventually swap out...

    Recoil starter

It actually wasn't too bad, I bent the center of the spring so it would catch the center post, and it went smoothly.

    Recoil starter

Yeah it was horrible at first. I eventually figured it out, that I was doing it the wrong way around and I had to wind it into the reel first and then set it in the housing.

    Shock Oil

I poked around some other threads and it seemed like people were using 60 and 80 weight silicone shock oil in FGs. Will that work or should I just stick with the FG oil?

    I'm back

I was here last year, trying to sell my stuff. I ended up trading my Traxxas Monster Buggy for a laptop. I kept my Rio 51 but have been working so much that I haven't had time to run it. I just bought an FG Baja and freakin LOVE it! My first 1/5 was a Yankee buggy back in 1996 and I loved it...

    My Monster Buggy pics

I know it's four months later, sorry for the delay. :) All I did was clean out the fuel system with denatured alcohol and it fired right up. I put a new spark plug in for good measure, but it ran on the old plug.

    brake assembly

Yeah, would definitely be a good idea. They do have them all the way back to the TRX-1 from 1993, but that could change any time.

Yeah I haven't gotten around to getting a body together for it. I'm thinking I'll do a sheetmetal one.
