Any time you're painting a Lexan lid, you MUST use a paint that's compatible with Poly-carbonate whether you're doing it inside or outside. The paint must bond to that material without primers and it must be flexible like the body. If you use paint that's not meant for Lexan it will look good...

In this day and age I can fully understand why the word "Nitro" gets their attention, however, upon opening the box they should have a little more training and intelligence before halting the shipment. Just plain stupid on their part.

You should have called me before you tossed it. :laugh: I found one on ebay for $25 and another 25 to ship. I jumped on it instantly. The H2 soccer mom Hummers are everywhere, but the H1s are hard to find now. It's now on the bench undergoing its body work and makeover.

I sense a theme to your coloring choice. I think it's a great job. With every shell comes more experience, and I have WAY more success with airbrushes than I do with rattle cans. Your past experience shows, and you'll only get more creative as you use the airbrush and get used to it.

Bumpin' it. Ask your neighbors if there's one in THEIR garage. Usually a kid outgrows these toy grade RCs and they lay around for years.
