Hey all, thanks for the add,I'm a long time 1/8 nitro guy, finally got my hands on a 1/5 scale,dbxl1.0 killer kit,it's got a 36 rofun moty,I'm running 70k front 100k center and 50krear I've put the lowest gear I can find in it 62-19 and I still can't get a good take off hauls ass after 20 or 30 ft,clutch is new red 8k spring, what's the deal??

The 36cc engine has some issues to start with. Lack of compression is part if it. It only gets slower and slower. You could try changing the spark plug as that sometimes helps for a little bit.

I would highly recommend a Zenoah G32RC or even better ESP-Zen G34RC stock port or modified. I replaced the 36cc Rovan with the ESP-Zen G34RC stock port and it rips in my Rovan Baja. As for the other Baja I had with the Rovan 36cc engine, that one bit the dust so I installed the original 30.5cc engine (King Motor). That one also rips. Both Bajas are all aluminum so they are heavy. 34lbs -38lbs. the King motor 30.5cc engine will cost less than the Zenoah but you get better quality with the Zenoah. Not much you can do with the Rovan 36cc engine. It is good to start with but will not perform well if you want more speed and or torque. My other Baja has a Taylor RC 35cc engine. That one is insane. Ditch the ceramic/rubber clutch and go with the FS clutch once you opt for a different engine than the Rofun 36.
