HI is there a way to tell if a baja 5t body is a copy or an orginal?

The only way I know is the price.....HPI$240......Copy$120....new that is.

I know I will get crucified for this, but I wish someone made a truck body to fit the 570mm wheelbase that wasn't butt-ugly! When you see the detail available on 1/10 and even 1/12th bodies, why should we put up with the cr*p available at the moment?

I am not a big fan of the 5T body either. I like the MCD Baja 1000 better. I've seen some neat paint jobs on the 5T thought that don't make it look as bad.

The clone bodies don't say HPI on them. Other than that they are the same.

ya HPIs will have HPI Molded into the body. the cloner wont.

i ve not seen much on the cloner body. i doubt it would be the same material.

personally you ll do best with a Woodster body. 100.00 plus shipping and they have been holding up quite well.

Woodster is a HBF Member, not a company. he sells his bodies direct.

They look nice the Baja 1000 shells but Ive been told there weak.
