Idk I see potential. Well see what happens once it releases on rovans site. But I belive once it gets into someone who's competent with modifying engines that we could have a mini beast on our hands. Straight up they are releasing an engine that underperforms but you gotta realize it doesn't have a reed case, it's not ported, I'm almost positive that's a poopy carb, and the crank probably isn't balanced with lots of slop.
Has potential or not, way over priced. And that's excluding the pipe that doesn't exist yet

Look buddy, you buy the engine and let us inexperienced engine guys know how it goes for you. A fricken 70cc saw cost close to the same as that boat anchor and has more power out of the box. Potential? maybe, but don't be condescending about others skill levels When it comes to 2 stroke performance. You introduced this "new engine" and we gave you our thoughts.

really have no idea where you think im putting peoples experiences down. There is a newish engine on the market, its interesting and can probably be a monster in experienced hands. Where is all this lash coming from.

Coz loads of people have been hear asking for help and explanation about how and why their rovan/fong kong motor craped? its self? like @1Coopgt its your?

You guys could be possible right on this. BUT also keep in mind that if we used the same thinking when looking at stock engines as they come from Zenoah. That it would be the same comparison. Take a 320 for example. You look at the power in stock form and think probably a dog. Now if you modify it. Now you have an animal. So try to atleast keep an open mind on this. We could possible get fooled. Even thought it might not survive but if it does make good power AFTER it was modified than it may not seem as bad. That is how the engines guys got started. When we used to run G2D Zens in our 1/4 scale cars they were fast for their size.. That was 1.25 hp. Now you put a pipe on it and you hit 1.5 hp. Than Zen came out with 2hp stock barrels for them and was noticeable. Those classes were stock only engines. Now the people who started to modify them was obvious the difference and got busted in tech tear down after the finals. But you usually knew who was running something not stock because they would kill everyone in the mains. But once the mains came they would be about the same speed as everyone else. They would just say something like had an air leak and was running lean was why it was so fast. Yet each time you seen them at a race it was always the same. Hella fast on heats and same speed as everyone else in the mains. Just something to think about is all.

Yeah it could be a monster after mods , but for 600 it's faar too much, plus the 150-200 for a pipe.
