Is the 805 the same as the stock HPI servo? I've used the 805 for years and I'm getting Baja roller. I can get a new 805 for $40 or get a used HPI for the same price.

What do you guys think?

it ll probably work for a while Selwa. when they first came out, and HPI was behind on stock (metal gears or stock replacement gears) a few of us tried to use the 805. it worked pretty good, but the first time the tire took a small jolt, the main gear would decapitate itself. if you could find a set of metal gears that would install and work, i think it would be a fine servo for steering duty.

the HPI steering servo is a Relabled Futaba S3306 servo i think. the t/b servo is the S3305. HPI has plastic gears in their servo where the futabas are metal, but they did that to save money i would suspect.
