I want to buy alloys rims for 1/5 RC Car. Are they custom made or they are specialist company's who make them . Tried e-bay- not much luck

The 5 spokes are what I use on my F1 GTR.
I had them powder coated orange for the Gulf livery.

If I remember, take a close look at the price - it might be 'before tax'.

I tryed these, tho they cutted my tires when bashing, bouth rear tires and 1 front.

Any of you had that happening to ya?

oh never mind, i ment alloy beadlocks, not rims,. my bad :/

Beadlocks are a pain when you snap a screw ...

FYI, just be aware that with aluminum rims you are more likely to do more damage to your car during rollovers and tumbles. They are two or 3 times heavier than plastic wheels, and the added rotating weight attached to the arms seems to break more suspension parts, in my experience.

Alloy rims are not for bashing, your attitude for driving needs to be targeted to keeping the car on it's wheels and not upside down. You cant take bigger risks with them otherwise you will end up breaking a lot of stuff attached to them.

rc4wd has some for Baja, and they show adapters to fit 40 series wheels and tires etc,,,, worth a look,,

Never had any problems relating to those indicated with either my Alloy Wheeled E-Maxx or my Alloy Wheeled FG MT.
Don't WANT them to roll, but if / when they do - more likely the FG as the Maxx is VERY stable - they just come back for more!!

Maxx is running 6S and the FG MT has a Trevor Simpson 2-bolt reed engine.
Both are 'fairly fast' - OK, I call the Maxx 'Mental Maxx', and for a reason .... !!!

Those are very 'Marmite' wheels.
Understand not liking them.

It's just like selecting alloys on your 1:1 whenever the chance arises - you don't fit anything.
