It cold enough now that the snow and ice build up around the carb throttle linkage is starting to freeze. Creates a bit of a problem if you know what I mean. Was out yesterday and had it freeze up. I cleared the ice away but when I started it and gave it throttle it took off. Used the remote kill switch to stop it. Was wondering if anyone knows of something I could spray on the carb area to keep ice from buiding up or any other ideas? WD-40 - Window De-icer?
Any suggestions for keeping the carb/throttle from icing up?

Well I tried some Window De-icer and that didn't help this afternoon so I popped in an old eposide of McGuyver for some insperation and this is what we came up with considering I was out of duct tape. Basically took a old beer can huggie and cut it up to fit, cut some recesses for the bulb and fuel inlet, added a longer bolt, and added a bracket for a little piece of mind. Fits nice and tight and not binding or interference with the linkage.......yet.
The garbage bag helped out a lot. Kept a lot of the snow out that gets in from the front opening of the chassis. Still got snow in there but at least it wasn't packed tight like it usually gets.

No not in this neighbor hood. A lot of the cars that pass through the neighborhood have at least one garbage bag for a window. Once the body is on it's not real noticable so I shouldn't get accussed of taking the bag from the pile the neighbor has been letting accumulate. He has a pretty good collection of crap that the wind has blown into the corner of his fence over the past year.

Looks good, I didnt mean to come off negative if i did. Brain shuts off from time to time. I like that body. i was thinking of buying one like that actually. Or trying to find a clear one.
