Are HY engine parts compatible to CY?

I bought a CY flywheel and i actually have he 30cc HY motor i believe that comes on the rampage chimera, is this flywheel still going to fit? Also other parts clutch etc..... just to know for future reference. Looking at the bottom sticker on the housing it says HY and some numbers (fuelie 30cc)

Yes a CY flywheel can be used on a HY or Zenoah and visa versa. Rovan works on any also. Now the clutch is different. When using a CY clutch make sure to use the CY hardware to mount it. The same goes for the Zenoah clutch. Must use Zenoah bolts and washers.

When you mention hardware for the clutch you only mean the washers and screws not the clutch mounting plate...
 
Awesome thank you very much for the information, one question for you do you know what motors are direct bolt-on to the Redcat Chimera chassis without any modification? I believe the Cy engines are direct bolt on but I'm wondering what are other options for motors for the future.

It's not the motor but the pull start cover that you need. The pull start cover has mounting points on the bottom that match the chassis. You can switch the pull start cover of a CY, HY, or Zenoah engines. When replacing the engine you can save money if you purchase a long block and use your original pull start cover, head cover, and clutch housing. This is not an option if you go to a engine of 30cc or less and move to a engine above 30cc.
