Picked this up couple days ago, looks pretty decent for the money and the amount of spares thrown in £390 all in even got a g290 in it.
One thing noticed straight away steering servo has had it. Going to be a basher so not after crazy power or adding loads of aluminium bits for the bling as will just add to the weight.

Few bits on order, 0236 and brace for steering, 1256 throttle, outerwears for filter and pull, TR servo saver, fresh bearing set, Tgn air filter, diff fluid, flm shafts and a switch blade killswitch to keep me busy. Is there any particular reason the receiver wire is so long? Never remember it being that long on previous cars

Thats a v1 hpi baja. The long antenna is from a non 2.4gig radio system , the old v1 rtr was non 2.4.
If im not mistaken the v1 baja also had a plastic diff.
Looking at the 3rd pic, looks like the plastic diff is in that box, so you should have a upgraded diff in there.

Cheers for the info, filter is going just waiting for Tgn foam one to arrive. Not stripped down the rear end yet hoping not to see a plastic diff case in there, but I’ve got flm dog bones and cups on the way to address the smaller ones on it.

Got a good few hours on the tools today, got the chassis stripped, front end stripped and rebuilt, and new TR servo saver almost built up.

Apart from the previous owner just using red loctite on everything, snapping a ball end on my Allen key, and the odd rounded screw he left me was pretty pain free.

Anyone got the TR servo saver fitted, was a massive pain getting the spring on with just myself and no vice. Waiting on some circlip pliers to arrive. My question is does that look correct just the washer doesn’t look particularly flush?

Some more progress made today, after some o rings turned up diff was rebuilt. Glad to see it had an alloy case in there. Previous owner upon collection was saying how it was his pride and joy, just look how much oil is in there. Literally not 1 drop came out. Back together with 20k in there and some flm cups, started to get the hostile boots over the flm shafts got one done and my fingers have given up for today lol.03729DC9-714B-4D58-9D8D-EDE6ED46D50E.jpegDF27351C-5FB2-4D20-A2E3-8DC3A67CE4B3.jpegD175203D-7B77-4705-928B-979854493B8E.jpeg

Progress over last couple weeks, pretty much there now. For those interested about the switchblade kill switch v2, the extra wire is just an aux for lights. Have a go at the weekend trying to fire it up for a run out, if the weather holds out.BCB0D331-A07C-4D83-98A9-6CB6B13BA553.jpegC3393C0A-5175-43E1-AF2B-283ECC1FFC77.jpeg4CD20331-B65D-4A38-9D95-5B7D200BFC14.jpeg
