Baja spur n pignon question

Hey so I bought a new spur n pignon bouth metal, I also bought a close bell clutch housing ( witch came with 2 bearings ) n a new bell clutch. My question is it normal that the metal spur n pignon make a lil more noise then when I hade the pignon plastic n spur metal ( might b vise versa not sure which is which) or is it the bearings that r crap ?? The bearing seems to be rolling properly n not make wierd sounds. And when I say it makes more noise I don't mean when the baja is actually on I mean just pushing by hand . Thanks

metal on metal always sounds noisey...?
esp when u come from metal/plastic?
