baja stock air filter alternative

i am really tired of monkeying with the mickey mouse stock air filter on this car. does anyone have any other air filters they are using which are a little easier to service? you who are racing must be using some nice filter.

This is the stock air filter fitted to most off road FG cars and it's the dogs bollocks, the foams are pennies and come pre oiled if you get the right part number. I've raced all season with one of these on and not had a hint of crap getting anywhere near the carb.

have a look at the uber filter i know a few lads who run them without problems.

Strange, I took the FG filter off my FG and put on a HPI Baja filter with a Outerwear prefilter. That makes it three filter, one oiled. That should keep anything out! I love it!

I do use the "twin air" filter bag with the stock filter.

i don,t think you can go wrong with a hpi type filter they work well in all conditions.

If taking on and off the filter is the main problem then, look into the Blur quick release filter base or the angled velocity stack.

bazinga! angle is what i am looking for. the snap ring going around the base fits very tightly on top of the fuel tank. kinda putzey to get on and off.

As far as a good filter to keep dirt out you can not get a better filter!!! You could put one of these on it to make it a little easier.

Get an incline shreadstack from phatdad, it makes maintenance so much easier and will add extra performance to you baja
