hey guys, I just recently over winter did a baja scratch build and im running a Taylor 46gt in it, this is a first for me as all I have run are the smaller zenoah engines, and I have some questions.
Can I run 93 octane for fuel? Can I use amsoil synthetic for oil? What ratio should I be mixing my fuel and oil? I did look on Detroit and did not find much for fuel/oil ratio, but I ran 25:1 in my small bore engine.
Any help I can get is greatly appreciated, thanks

So I managed to get the big bore out today for its first start! I was going to order the stuff Mike Taylor recommended, Well I decided to go with 93 octane pre mixed with amsoil syntheyic. She started so easy for the first time. I did 3 15 min heat cycles then ran it on the 4th start. Everything went well surprisingly I managed to run almost a tank of fuel through it and I am like.. wow!!! I plan to run it in a better place next time, as my neighbors were starting to come out of the woodworks lol! I love it!! More to come!!

Let me know how I did or if you would have done anything different. I’m new to the big bores so there’s bound to be errors along the way
