So, I got bit more done in between work. Rear hubs on and fuel tank about to get mounted.

I’ve got lightweight Hostile hubs 3 degrees. You can see the comparison between the big bearing version below. 56g saving in total.



It’s always nice to pleasantly surprised. I was going to use the plastic fuel tank as I thought it would be lighter than an alloy one. I measured the alloy one for the hell of it and check this!




So the alloy one is going in and it will look badass.

I just can’t believe it’s lighter. It must be a bit smaller.

I forgot to mention but I didn’t take photos is that the PCSC weighs 155g and a standard spur gear holder is 45g.

This only counts if it’s modded because you can use Hostile Spurs with the mod.

I really wanted to use the IRC driveshafts on this build but they will be going into the other one because of the weight. Check this out. The UBERs with strengthening rings weigh about 170g less than the IRC jobs.

I hear you but with the strengthinig rings I'm hoping they last. I'm not putting massive porwer through them just a ported piston 34cc at most. Time will tell I suppose.

So I’ve made some more progress. I’ve finally got my diff together and gearbox together. Ti ring gear, idler gear and layshaft for PCSC. Looks sweet, I’ll weight it after dinner.




Oh by the way, I used Fast Eddy bearings for the diff and gearbox apart from the outer drive cups where I used bushes.

Let’s just say it’s a press fit and it’s snug. But it’s smooth as butter.
