I recently got a dominator v2 pipe for my hpi baja 5b and was wondering if the stock bumper will sufficient for protecting it. I’ve seen people jump and land their bajas on the tail and severely damage/dent their pipes.

The modified RC v2 is wide and looks very beefy but it’s quite pricey :( Would the RPM rear bumper do the same job or does the Modified RC offer way better protection?

I have the same pipe, and i'm not really concerned about damage. DDM makes their pipes from some super thick gauge metal . Me personally prefer the cheap OEM impact absorbing bumpers Consider them cheap consumable parts. However that being said, it's your money and you buy aftermarket to suit your comfort level.

Thanks Renov8r for letting me know, that sucks about the modified RC one bending - for that price you’d think it’d be very robust
