My 1st battery was a DDM battery. It is working well but I would avoid based on its small gauge leads for charging. So it takes a long time to charge.

Iv charged mine @6amps no worries 👍
I'm not exactly sure how far it will go?
My charger will go to 10amps but im never in such a rush😂 just balance charge every time

I charge all my lipos in relation to their mah, so a 2200mah battery I will charge at 2.2amps, my 5200mah will be charged at 5.2amps etc etc

Thanks Guys! Like I said just following what I was told when I started in the hobby a year ago. Guy told me not to hit it with more than an amp due to the small leads! 🤷🏼‍♂

I’ll hit it with more, will make life a lot easier! My gensacearespammers 5000 mah get nuked at 5.0 amps and charge in a 1/3 of time. This is why I hang out here, I am always learning.👍🏻

1c (what junkie said, he was right for once) is universally accepted as a safe charging rate. Depending on the battery you can go higher. If your timing out your not giving it enough. Your charger will also vary the amperage based on pack charge level, my electri fly and i- charger you can watch what amperage it's actually charging at. Kinda interesting to watch it bulk charge then ramp down as it goes into a balance charge. Really great with the I charger hooked to a lap top you can graph everything the charger does and sees.

Oh and I’m pretty sure the guy you bought it from said 1c not 1a. 1a would just be stoopid slow. And in case you don’t know c means capacity… 1c means 1xbattery capacity. I charge most my battery’s at around or just over 2c (2x battery capacity). Soma battery’s can even handle 5c. Sometimes it just depends on what your charger can do. I have a pretty powerful one… but for your applications a less powerful 5-10a single port would do just fine.

@RcJunkie13 no, he said one amp. He even setup the charger at the store. When I got home and charged it, it timed out. I called the hobby shop and asked him about it and he said that’s normal. Run a second cycle. Been doing that way for a year now, what a PITA!🤬🤬 Since this was my 1st foray into lipos and RC’s I didn’t know any better.
