go for it do the lot once you have done one bit in alloy the plastic starts to look a bit crap no offence it happened to me changed a couple off bits then some more then take a look a year later there hardly any plastic left but its also good to have a weak link somewhere on the car its cheaper to replace plastic than alloy

i,ve just split my baja plastic diff case wrecking all the gears, so will be getting a alloy diff case ,been told there a must, but i learnt the hard way:clown:

personaly ill keep the Hubs stock, but use ada carriers in the rear hubs.

arms are usually stock but i do have a set of FLM ext aluminum that have been good. roll cage should remain plastic as well as rear and front shock tower supports, but the towers and cross pieces should be aluminum.
plastic servo saver piece under the spring if you use alloy whipper arms, (also the arm cross member piece in plastic between the tie rods).

imo, keeping these items plastick allows for some flex and most are easy to fix/replace if there is an issue with them.

usually the just push apart, letting the diff fluid out and the gears to get loose and chew eachother up. they basically warp between the bolts in most cases.

Did the case itself crack, or did it pull apart (screws pulled out of the bosses) ?

it done both made a right old mess of the diff gears:no: got a km alloy diff case half the price of the hpi alloy one, looking at getting the turtle racing main gearbox alloy case makes the diff a lot easier to swap.
