Best way to oil an air filter

Its years since I last did 1 and I cant remember lol! Any tips or youtube links be appreciated

I always have placed the filter in a zip lock that I had put a few drops of oil in. Move the oil around in the filter till it’s absorbed. Not sure if this right but seems to work

This is how I did it . But it was more than a few drops . I used K&N filter oil . Had a do a few spritze .

I put a few lines of oil on the filter and worked it in with my fingers. Seemed to work ok. Rolled it in a paper towel after to make sure I hadn't over done it.
