What's the difference of the big bore shocks? Are just the shafts bigger? Or is it the shafts and the body? And by how much? The reason I'm asking is because I built a 1/6 scale solid axle truck with a set of cheap eBay mock off shocks for the 5b. I would like internal springs but I can't find anything in the rc world that will fit. The ID is .607" or 15.42mm. The problem I'm having also is that spring manufactures will state the spring is 14mm when the OD is over and the ID is under 14mm. If someone could measure the ID of their big bore shocks I would much appreciate it. Thank you!

Sorry. I'm just new to the large scale rc world and some people talk like everyone knows what you are talking about. The IRC shocks are sweet but out of my price range. Also will heavier shock oil stiffen the suspension?

I have a 5t ,mostly alloy with REZZIES and i run 15wt motorbike fork oil in them with two and three hole pistons and it seems pretty much bang on for my application.
A good few of the fellas i run with also run that oil in standard baja shocks too and they are happy with the ride.
