Pulled the trigger on a new rig. I am retiring the w5 from on road duty and this will be my parking lot basher and Wagner park race rig.

I just had a Bartolone 32 piston port rebuilt by my buddy who make the nastiest engines on the planet Denis Collins.I will probably run a 26 with the mod clutch for racing as this will almost surely have too much power but that will be decided later.

First round of parts came in I’ll be running spektrum s9120bl for steering, Hitec d950tw for braking, mod killswitch and killer rc 6000 Lipo. Went to pick up another receiver for my Hitec lynx 4s but they’ve all been discontinued. I’ve been fearing this day, but have been eyeing up the sanwa m17 as it’s replacement. The lynx has been a great radio though and it will be greatly missed

I’ll start putting together the electronics tray and engine but I have to wait for a new manifold and the obr 1242 to come in the mail. I’m on the fence on whether to send this body out for a custom paint job or I might just give it a quick rattle can

Sure is bigger, with a wheelbase of 620mm, same as the 5iveT
All the "max" line of MCD rigs have a 620mm w/b

It’s about the same size as a 5t, it’s wider, longer and a way higher ride height than the sportsline

Yea no problem
Electronics tray is done just need to set the horns and end points. The killswitch with the m17 was a female dog to set up but the notes I found from lance in a different thread worked a treat. Engine is in and ready to go minus the air side.

Got the air intake done with the obr 1242 done, also set the servo horns and end point for the servos. Finished the sticker job off and ready to take this thing for it’s first break in and rip soon

went and met up with some of the guys for a quick break in

Installed the samba titanium pipe and I gotta say that for $400+ the fit and finish of this pipe is second rate. But it’s installed and ready for a rip on sunday which will be the first time I’ve taken out one of my rigs since the winter.

Took it out today for the second time ever (1st being a break in run for the engine) and we are going through some toothing pains. The camber was set all funky and it destroyed the right rear tire. My fault for not checking up on it before or during running. It felt like it was ice skating all day with a ton of over steer. Fixed the camber after running and threw on a new set of tires. Will try again soon.
