If your engine bogs out when transitioning from low speed:
The high jet is too far closed. Open the jet by turning it counterclockwise until you are at least 1 1/2 turns open, and then gradually close the jet until performance is as desired. Poor engine compression, blocked exhausts, and very heavy engine loading can all also cause bogging

Any bogging is a result of an air leak. I suggest you reset the carb back to factory settings low 1-1/2 and high 1-3/4. it it still persists then rebuild the carb. Bogging only happens at the low end. Not at high speed.

now are you confusing the bogs? if your to lean it will do a lean bog which it wants to choke out, thats what mostly happens to most people, when they start to lean out the engine to get more revs, but then too much your starving the engine of fuel,as the result your doing a type of leaned out bog, if your not used to looking for the signs, they can be confused.

A engine won't bog out at high speed it will just lean out and not go higher. Bogging is always at the low end. The engine isn't getting any fuel to rev up. It's getting too much air. There shouldn't be any bogging at low or middle setting if the engine is properly tuned. You want a fat low end to get the rpm up to go faster and keep the engine lubed up. Oil mix also plays a factor with starting and running good. Too much oil will foul the plug out and make the engine start hard. just see how much wastye oil is comming from the exhaust. There shouldn't be any if a little. If you see lots then lean it out.:D
