As a some of you know assassin and myself have been talking for a while about doing a two day event.

Well plans are coming along nicely!
I cannot give you a full programme at the moment as we are still in the planning stage,BUT, here are some thoughts for you..

1/ THE CARAVAN RACE
A local firm has stepped up to sponsor this event with cash prizes on the line for the winners!!
THE RULES

1/ the caravan chassis must not exceed the size of the towing vehicle or be undersized for the power!
ie the 1/8 boys can use a small caravan and with their 4wd they are gonna be quick!!
1/5 will have a more substantial caravan which SHOULD take more punishment!
2/NO commercial advertising
ie no cigarette /oil/ logos OR PORNOGRAPHY!!!
3/no one is to make contact with baron von mookyheisens caravan cos i wanna win!!!

this will be open to all classes and the winner decided on fastest lap,most laps and HOW MUCH OF YOUR CARAVAN IS LEFT!!

TUG OF WAR
again open entry
class sizes will apply
best of three pulls in a knock out cup!

LONG JUMP
rules are simple jump it land it and DRIVE AWAY
longest jump wins
class sizes apply

plus our usual racing with heats and finals.

there will be camping available and probably some form of bbq/drunken dancing nakid round a fire chanting YYYIIINNGGGG!

LOL

keep your eyes posted and as soon as thing are finalised i will post up dates etc
the baron

I would be very interested in seeing what the caravans look like, both before and after the race. :) Do people generally make a pretty realistic looking trailer or is it supposed to be anything that will roll behind your vehicle? Are there corner marshals to set them right when you roll over in a turn during the race?

It sounds fun......wish I could go. :glare:

Ha! :w00t: Its a crazy idea, but it certainly looks like a lot of fun! Those caravans must have taken a good deal of effort, too......very nicely done.

I'm looking forward to the next installment. :rock-on:
