Does anyone know what grade of aluminium the chassis plate is made from on the RR evo3?

Hi dude, if you have a chassis take it along to your local Ali stockists and they should have a grade checker, but I'm guessing it around 5000-6000 series.

Cheers I got that but "aircraft alloy" is a bit vague, I'm sure they use more than one grade of alloy in the construction of aircraft? Any plane builders out there?

I don't like to disagree with you :no: but T6 refers to heat temper grade of the alloy and that can apply to 7075, 6063 etc not just 6061, so that brings me back to my original question

Sorry, I thought I read it was 6061 in the literature? I do know most use 6061 on the aftermarket products.
