Clutch 8mm holes and 10mm holes

Hi All

Can i use the 10mm hole clutch(Baja 5b) on the Zenoah 26cc engine with the bolts that fit the 10mm holes.I have put the clutch (10mm holes) in my FG MT with the 8mm bolts but it doesn't work.

If your asking if you can use the CY bolts http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product967.html in the CY clutch shoes instead of the Zen bolts http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product743.html I would think yes, that should work. Correct me if I'm wrong.:blush:

If you are going to swap from CY - Zen you need the mounting plate, one mounting screw that goes in the end of the crank shaft, two normal washers, two spring washers & two bolts that mount the shoes.

I didn't realize the plates were different?

no don't need the plate, just the clutch shoe shoulder bolts. the threads are the same adn teh bolts are the same depth, its just the "shoulder" area on each is the differance.

so if you use a cy clutch, then you need cy shoulder bolts.
if a zen clutch, then zen shoulder bolts.

The clutch shoe bellville washers are the same too right? So the only thing thats he needs is the correct shoulder bolts right?

okay thanks guys,so thats only the bolts that I need.

I don't think the washers fit as the hole in the middle of them is a different size.

For some reason I thought the plate was different..... I know one has a counter sunk screw holding it in (CY) and the other (Zen) uses a hex head.

I have done this and all you need is the shoulder bolts, works like a dream
