Clutch spring?

Hi I have my xb apart and it had a new stock clutch but I want to know can I just replace the spring with a red 8k spring our should I replace the whole clutch

The red spring will fit in stock clutch but will need to remove some red paint from the spring where they grab the clutch shoes. If your clutch is still good I would bash the crap out of it still

It's amazing how much better the launch gets. You will notice it!

Any tips or tricks on getting the spring in

2 vise grips and your body weight. Just get the spring on one Shoe then get it started on other one then use vise grips to get them flat and then I use one vise and lock it on just one shoe and then put weight on it and it snaps into place then you can mount it back on your motor
