Need some help please. I have had this truck for a long time. I had to rebuild the transmission because a bearing went out. When I got it all back together I was wanting to give it to my son. Charged the 2 lipo batteries put new batteries in the transmitter. If you pull trigger full to take off it surges like you turning on and off a switch but I am holding the throttle trigger wide open. Is it the ESC that is bad. I recalibrate the ESC but still does not work. It's just like you would floor your car let off and then floor. If I hold the car off the ground and slowly give it throttle it will run wide open but pull trigger real fast an its back to surging. Thank you for any advice.

The first thing I would do is re-solder all the solder points. I had the same issue on one of my RC cars and it was because of a bad soldering job.

Esc problem or motor problem or driveline problem… it’s called cogging, check to make sure no binding in drivetrain.
