Not yet Ian,but i don't fancy the travel for rain(even though I've just bought a few Outwears,still got ya bottom plate,havn't forgot )
I'm going to scout Ellesmereport for ground tomorrow,see if there are any good sites there.

There is a fairly large park in Ellesmere Port with a kids playground at the front and plenty of parking. They also have a skate park towards the back with a car park nearby, plenty of grassed area in front of the skate park. I can't remember the name of the park but it couls be worth a look.
