having a look on the ddm site, like the look of the billet air filter. Anyone run one of these? whats it like? how easy is it to clean the foam etc?

More suited to shelf queens and tourer's. I have a brand new one in my 'man cave' and its useless to me because I run in sandy conditions.

glad I asked before I bought it. thanks guys. the last thing my fg's are is shelf queens, they get dirty every weekend during winter and every day during summer!

Baja housing with properly oiled inner filter, redneck outer filter, and an outerwares air filter bag.

Ive been also running one of the Threshold "DUNE" style housings thats working great as well. BUT YOU MUST USE AN OEM Techumseh Air Filter, number 36905. ITs imparative to use the OEM filter. ONLY use the ones with Made in Mexico, or Made in Argentina molded into the front face of the filter. If you use an aftermarket filter, it likely wont filter as well as, or fit the Threshold housing as well as the OEM filter does.

some guys have bought the Threshold setup, but used a cheapy filter, and had some dirt/sand infiltration issues. but with the OEM filters, they are Rock Solid items.
