I use from my plane days a Dubro Tru-Spin Prop balancer. They are $$ but in today’s world I am sure there is a knockoff on Amazon for less $.

I am a cheap bastard so I hoard stuff and the shaft is a fiberglass tent pole I had from the 90’s that is a perfect 8mm OD for the Hex that was from the RC project in 2015.

The Dubro is not wide enough for a 1/5 combo so I bought a cutting board from the $99 store for $1.07. Tapped ¼-20 holes for the uprights and works as it should. You breath on the tire and it moves in true Dubro sensitive fashion. Balance as you would with my preference being model clay.

I have the same balancer from my flying days , still have planes but haven't flown in years.
Great idea and will have to put this on my "to-do" list

Me too me too. They make great mancave displays. Now, if i only had a mancave.

Thanks. I won't show the other monstrosity i made out of extra center driveshaft supports. Worked but not sensitive enough. I tried the lower slots and any wheel/tire combo over 2lbs hanging over the edge of the table made it bind too much. Tower to Tower is perfect.
